 #didyouknow

We're all about critters here at Lewie and Berg so we'll be sharing some facts on critters that you may (but probably don't) already know! 🤓 View the website for toddler gift ideas that are as unique and special as your little one(s)!

Because our first ever #didyouknow blog launched around Easter..well, what else could this #didyouknow be about? Ducks of course!! 🦆

Marigold is one of our newest critter addition. She is currently available and will be lovingly made and shipped out to join your household coop! Forget about the candy and treats...Marigold is going to steal the spotlight every Easter and special birthday for your duck obsessed kiddo!!

Grab your littles and read them these facts on ducks. Get their thoughts on each fact! This is a great way to engage them in conversation and spark their curiosity.

Bonus activity for your littles: have them tell you a critter story using one of the facts below!

  • Ducks can take up to 28 days to hatch.

  • Female ducks have dull brown feathers & male ducks have bright colored feathers.

  • “Males use their colorful plumage to attract females. However, they will lose their colorful feathers when females are busy hatching the eggs” -animalcorner.com.

  • The oldest duck on record lived to be 27 years old!

  • The more daylight, the more eggs a duck will produce. 🌞=🐣

  • Ducks can see nearly a 340 degree field of vision. They also have 3 eyelids, and see in color!

  • Ducks can sense threats to their environment in under a second!

  • Duck quacks echo!

So which fact was your little's favorite? I'm sure Marigold's favorite fact is that there's a chance she's going to get adopted real soon and have a forever best friend!! 🤗
