1. When a female giraffe gives birth, their baby falls about 5 FEET to the ground!!

2. Its age can be identified by the spots. Darker spots mean that it's an older giraffe. That means Ivan is a young one!

3. Giraffes in the wild are almost exclusively found on the continent of Africa. But, in America, you are likely to find a few roaming the zoo. Have you seen one in person??

4. Giraffes are social animals and love to travel in groups. A group of giraffes is called a tower! 

5. Wild giraffes live about 25 years, and another interesting fact, that giraffes in the zoo tend to live for 40 years!
